Antigen description
CD266 / TWEAK R (TNFRSF12A), also known as FN14 (fibroblast growth factor-inducible 14) is a receptor for CD255 / TWEAK, the TNF-like weak inducer of apoptosis. CD266 is expressed on endothelial cells, as well as on some cancer tissues, and plays a role in CD255-induced endothelial cell migration, proliferation, and angiogenesis. The CD255-CD266 interaction, or antibody-mediated triggering of CD266 is also able to induce apoptosis and necrosis in CD266-positive cells (including tumor cells), which might have therapeutic potential.

Anti-Hu CD266 APC antibody (clone ITEM-4) specificity verification by flow cytometry

Anti-Hu CD266 APC antibody (concentration in sample 15 μg/ml, red-filled histogram) binds specifically to CD266 in intracellulary stained CD266 transfected L5178Y cells (upper panel), but not to intracellulary stained non-transfected L5178Y cells (lower panel). Level of non-specific binding was assessed using Mouse IgG2b isotype control APC antibody (MOPC-21) under same conditions (concentration in sample 15 μg/ml, black-dashed histogram).
