Specificity

The antibody HE-195 recognizes human blood group A including weak variants A₃, A_X, A₃B, A_XB. The specifity of antibody HE-195 was confirmed by comparison of specifity and reactivity to standard reagent using >5000 samples of blood.

Antigen description

Human blood group A antigen belongs to a group of carbohydrate determinats carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins; it is detected on erythrocytes and certain epithelial cells.

Agglutination of particular blood groups using mouse monoclonal HE-195 (anti-blood group A).
