New Anti-hu CX3CR1 Antibody (Clone 2A9-1)

CX3CR1 is the sole receptor for the chemokine fractalkine (CX3CL1) and is primarily expressed on monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and certain T cell subsets. This receptor mediates both chemotaxis and firm adhesion of leukocytes to activated endothelium through its unique dual function as both a chemokine receptor and adhesion molecule.

The 2A9-1 clone is a highly specific monoclonal antibody that recognizes human CX3CR1 with excellent binding characteristics and minimal background staining. This antibody is widely used in flow cytometry for phenotyping monocyte and macrophage subsets. It is particularly important in cardiovascular disease research, neuroinflammation studies, and cancer research where CX3CR1-positive cells play roles in disease progression and immune surveillance.
