DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color
DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color
Background
TBNK immunophenotyping remains one of the most essential and widely used flow-cytometric assays in clinical diagnostics. Its strong standardization and fast turnaround make it the first-line tool for assessing immune competence and supporting decision-making in immunology, hematology, infectious diseases, and even reproductive medicine.
In clinical practice, TBNK provides crucial insights for the evaluation of immunodeficiencies, monitoring of biologic and immunomodulatory therapies, and long-term management of HIV patients. Hematology laboratories rely on TBNK to help distinguish reactive from clonal lymphocyte populations, assess lymphopenia, and monitor immune reconstitution after chemotherapy or stem-cell transplantation. Increasingly, TBNK panels are also used in reproductive medicine, where the balance of T-, B-, and NK-cell subsets can support personalized treatment strategies.
DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color (RUO)
We are now launching a next-generation solution in the form of a new DryFlowEx TBNK+ product line which exceeds the capabilities of conventional 6-color TBNK panels. The first product introduced is now
DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color (RUO)
with catalog number
ED7815
.
The extended 9-color design of this product increases both analytical depth and clinical relevance. Since this is a dried version of immunoreagents in single-test tubes, the product is also designed for greater efficiency of the workflow in the clinical laboratory.
Key advantages of the DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color (RUO) over classic TBNK include:
Extended clinical insight from a single tube, minimizing the need for additional panels and reducing hands-on time.
Higher workflow efficiency with greater information density.
Detection of additional clinically meaningful subpopulations allowing:
Immunomonitoring of HLA-DR expression mainly on CD3+ T cells (
Figure 1
), where an increased value may indicate recent immune activation (e.g., viral or bacterial infection, some autoimmune diseases)
Simultaneously immunomonitoring of HLA-DR expression on monocytes (
Figure 2
), a well-established marker whose lower expression is associated with sepsis, systemic inflammation, and immunoparalysis
The separation of antibodies against CD16 and CD56 markers into different fluorochromes allows the identification of the CD56dimCD16+ vs. CD56brightCD16dim(-) NK cell subsets (
Figure 3
), important for identifying NK-cell dysregulation seen in autoimmune conditions, viral infections, or implantation failure
The concurrent inclusion of an antibody against the monocyte marker CD14 and an antibody against CD16 in the fluorochrome itself allows differentiation of monocytes into classical, intermediate and non-classical subsets (
Figure 4
) which can altered in various diseases, making them potential biomarkers for disease severity, progression, and treatment response
By combining the robustness of standardized TBNK testing with extended analytical capabilities, DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color (RUO) provides a powerful next-generation solution for laboratories seeking higher diagnostic depth without increasing workflow complexity.
Product Description:
DryFlowEx TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color (RUO) detects and enumerates leukocyte populations and subsets in human whole blood and other bodily fluids using flow cytometry.
The product is sufficient for 50 tests and is provided with the following reagents:
TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color ED7815-1 (10 pouches). Each pouch consists of 5 capped single-use tubes containing premixed combination of fluorochromelabeled reagents dried with the stabilizing ingredients as a layer at bottom of the test tubes (12 x 75 mm),
see Table 1
.
TBNK+ MonoDR 9-color Compensation Set ED7815-2 (1 pouch) containing 9 capped single-use tubes, each containing single fluorochrome-labeled reagent (
see Table 1
) dried with the stabilizing ingredients as a layer at the bottom of the tube (12 x 75 mm).
