and glucagon are pancreatic endocrine hormones secreted by islet cells within the pancreas. The stimulus for insulin secretion is a HIGH blood glucose. Deficiency of insulin results in diabetes mellitus, one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the general population.
The antibody IN-05 reacts with insulin, one of the major regulatory endocrine hormones of intermediate metabolism, normally secreted by the beta cells (a type of islet cells) of the pancreas; it is also present in tumors of B cell origin such as insulinoma.
Indicated dilutions are recommended starting points for use of this product. Working concentrations should be determined by the investigator.
