Background
The GST (Glutathione-S-Transferase) is a 26kDa protein encoded by the parasite Schistosoma japonicum, easily purified by affinity chromatography on immobilized glutathione. GST is utilized as a fusion protein with foreign proteins in a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors.
Specificity
The antibody S-tag-02 is a mouse monoclonal antibody with high affinity to the glutathione-S-transferase (GST) from Schistosoma japonicum. This purified antibody
is suitable for detecting fusion proteins
containing the GST-Tag sequence expressed
in E. coli, yeast, mammalian, and
in vitro transcription/translation systems.
Immunogen
A GST fusion protein
Species Reactivity:
- Recognizes fusion proteins in all species
