|Specificity:||The mouse monoclonal antibody E11 recognizes CD35 (CR1), a type I glycoprotein expressed on granulocytes, monocytes, B cells, folicular dendritic cells, erythrocytes, NK and T cell subsets, as well as e.g. on glomerulal podocytes.

|Preparation:||The purified antibody is conjugated with R-Phycoerythrin (PE) under optimum conditions. The conjugate is purified by size-exclusion chromatography and adjusted for direct use. No reconstitution is necessary.|
|Storage Buffer:||The reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution containing 15mM sodium azide.|
|Storage / Stability:||Store in the dark at 2-8°C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.|
|Usage:||The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 10 μl reagent / 100 μl of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension.

|Background:||CD35 (complement receptor 1, CR1) is a monomeric multiple modular cell surface glycoprotein which serves as receptor for C3b and C4b, the most important components of the complement system leading to clearance of foreign macromolecules. It is expressed mainly on the surface of granulocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, B cells and folicular dendritic cells. Besides its role in complement cascade, CD35 is involved in blocking BCR-induced proliferation and the differentiation of B cells to plasmablasts and their Ig production.|
