Specificity: The antibody B31.15 reacts with human beta Endorphin, an endogenous opiate derived from ACTH gene. ACTH (Corticotropin; human 39 aa) is synthesized by the anterior pituitary gland and stimulates the adrenal cortex; 6 hormones are derived from one ACTH gene: ACTH, lipotropin, alpha-MSH, beta-MSH, endorphin, and one other.
Immunogen: Human beta Endorphin (full length native protein).

Application:
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections)
Recommended dilution: 10 - 20 μg/ml
Staining technique: Standard ABC technique (DAB+)
Pretreatment: Heat retrieval (microwave oven)
Incubation: overnight at 4°C
Positive tissue: Human pituitary gland
Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections)
Purity: > 95% (by SDS-PAGE)
Purification: Purified from hybridoma culture supernatant by protein A-affinity chromatography.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Storage Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.4
Storage / Stability: Store at 2-8°C. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label. For long-term storage aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
